  • Hello,
I was able to join the provider of the music store where they send them to repair. The guy told me that it was maybe a way of getting used to blow of a certain way. He doesn’t think something is wrong with the reads. However, he offered me to send it for repair if the problem persists. So I will try to play normally with it to see if it…[Read more]

  • Hello Alan,
Thanks for the info. I think I will bring it to the store where I bought it eventually to see what they can do with this. I called them today and they told me that it would take few weaks to send to the company. I would be interested to know how to fixe this. I tried with my Hohner Performer 37 and it doesn’t do this. The good news is…[Read more]

  • Hello,
About a month ago, I bought a Suzuki M37C. Last weak, I noticed something very strange about it. The problem is hard to describe, so don’t hesitate to ask me some clarifications. When I blow loudely into the melodica, some low notes don’t work, as if something would prevent the air to pass through. Sometimes, we do hear a noise as if the…[Read more]

  • Hi all,
Just wanted to tell you that I like my Suzuki M37C a lot. It feels great. It sounds great. I don’t regret it. As for the mouthpiece, I will order a better one soon. My Hohner mouthpieces do fit on it so that’s great. Thanks again for your help.

  • Hi,
Today, I went to the music store. I looked at the Suzuki M37C and I bought it. I find it pleasant to touch. Sound is clear. When I first touched it, I couldn’t find the spit valve. The seller showed it to me. I also like the fact that multiple mouth pieces come with it, though I’m not a big fan of them. I’m thinking about putting an Hohner one…[Read more]

  • Hi all,
I have to go to an appointment on Tuesday near to a music store. I know they have the Suzuki M37C in store so I will be able to take it in my hands. I’m curious to see how it will feel in my hands. I will give you my conclusions for sure. So looking foward to Tuesday.

  • This is because of the tube that I have problems. Most of the time I leave it in its place but sometimes I accidentally move it. Next time I will take out my Suzuki I will take a look about the alternative mouth piece because I hate the plastic cylindric one. Thanks for the info.

  • Hello Alan,
Thank you for your description of the melodica. I appreciate. Your explainations that you give on this site are good and clear. Yesterday, I plaid a bit with my Suzuki. I can confirme you this is a Study32. They are 2 things I don’t like about this melodica: the carrying case and the mouth piece. Because I can’t see the case and the…[Read more]

  • Hello,
My question might seem ridiculus. What actually has colour on a melodica? Is it only located on the keyboard or tubes and mouth pieces are coloured as well? I guess colour has nothing to do with sound at all.

  • Hello Alan,
Thank you for all of these informations. I never bought something on Amazon by myself so I don’t really know their policies. But now it’s more clear with your explainations. Thanks again.

  • Hello,
I called back the guy which I spoke with last weak. He told me that Yamaha did not make the P37D anymore and that the ones that are available on Internet are probably some of their remaining ones. So their will be no way for me to see it before actually buying it. If they don’t produce them anymore, do you think it will have a warranty on…[Read more]

  • Ok, thanks for the info. I also have a Suzuki 32 notes. I can’t tell you which one it is but I can tell you that the plastic cylindric mouthpiece is uncomfortable compared to my Performer37. This was my first melodica that I got. I’ll ask someone to tell me the modal to be able to tell it to you.

  • Hello,
Is the Yamaha P37D mouthpiece the same that the Performer37? I have a bit of difficulty to imagine how it looks like.

  • Julie C. Could you tell me which one you chose when you will make your decision? Personnally, I think I’ll go with the Suzuki for now because I will be able to touch it before deciding if I buy it or not. I might eventually take the Yamaha as well.

  • Hello,
I think we live too far away from each other unfortunately. I live in Canada. However, thanks anyway for the proposition. I can’t wait to take the Suzuki M37C in my hands.

  • Thanks again for your comments, I appreciate. I was also reading that some people had problem with moisiture comming out of the P37D. This part isn’t clear for me mainly because English is my second language. Is the spit valve good on the P37D? Also, are the mouth pieces comfortable on the M37C and P37D?

  • I personnally prefer to buy these in a real store because I can try them. I also prefer this because I can’t return the instrument if I don’t like it. Also, because I am blind, I need to touch the melodica to actually make an image of it in my mind.

  • Hello,
Thank you so much for your answers. Once I have a chance to go into a music store, I will check this out. According to what a guy told me when I called is that the P37D doesn’t seem to still be sold. He’s supposed to contact me back about this. I know that the M37C is available. I will eventually go in the store an hopfely trying it. I will…[Read more]

  • Hello,
Thanks for the information. About the resonance, I like the one of the Performer37. Is their a big difference between the Performer 37 and the P37D? Is it worth the upgrade? Also, I didn’t understand what you meant when you said “Longer service is the number one reason to upgrade.” What service are you talking about?

  • Hello,
I currently own a Hohner Performer 37 and I would like to have a better melodica. Most people seem to say that the p37d would be a better choice. I agree that the Yamaha sounds louder. However, I’m wondering which of the two has the best building quality. I know that the Suzuki M-37C is made of metal, but what about the p37d? Also, how…[Read more]
